LeTarot (Java edition) v1.1.3 3/21/2008
When playing free deals, a hand with the Petit as the only trump (Excuse included) was not cancelling the deal as specified in the rules.
Thinking engine:
A defender could voluntarily play the "Petit" (Ace of Trump) on a trump of the Taker despite knowing that the next defender(s) have no trump anymore.
When playing a guard without or against, the defenders could stop the hunt of the "Petit" while about to succeed.
At the end of a game, the Taker could loose the last trick(s) after having continued to play trump while he had not all the master trumps.
LeTarot (Java edition) v1.1.2 9/07/2007
Thinking engine v3.2.3:
Correction of a serious bug where the defenders could illegally play a lower trump instead of a higher trump in a particular case of protection of the "Petit" (bug introduced with the version 3.2.2, shame on me and so on... I won't do it again... this one for sure!).
Better reaction of the defenders when the Taker starts with a singleton. Most of the time the defenders did not play this color again.
Enhancement of the rescue of the "Petit" during a hunt by the Taker which has announced a Handfull.
Enhancement of the Taker's play in the sacrifice of the "Petit" before the last trick (to avoid to give the "Ace of Trump at the end" bonus to the defenders).
LeTarot (Java edition) v1.1.1 7/24/2007
[Windows Vista] The Score window was incomplete.
The copy/paste towards the deal editor, by using the right click on a game in the score window, was buggy: the first deal could not be copied and with the next deals, the one right before the selection was copied.
[Windows] Installer: improvements of "add/remove programs" in the control panel.
Various minor corrections.
Thinking engine v3.2.2:
Enhancement of the defender play when trying to save the "Petit" (Ace of Trump).
Enhancement in the saving of points by keeping the colors still in the Taker's hand.
Correction of unrational honnor play when trying to save points.
Better analysis about the continuation of the hunt of the "Petit" by the defense (with playing a guard without or against, or when the Taker tries to make it believe he is himself hunting the "Petit").
The defenders will play more often the King at the first trick in a color when playing a guard without or against.
At the end of a game, in a color which the Taker may still have, a defender will attempt more often to save a honnor.
The defenders or the Taker might sacrifice the "Petit" at the end of the game before the last trick to avoid to give the "Ace of Trump at the end" bonus to the opponent.
LeTarot (Java edition) v1.1 3/15/2007
The option "First bid is Guard" is replaced by the choice between a minimum or a unique bid. For example it is now possible to play a duplicate tournament with one single bid only like Guard (or another
).
Improvement of the window management about the Game and Score.
[Windows] Improvement of the software installation (file type .LeTarot, add/remove programs).
[Linux] Better support of the web browsers on some Linux system (documentation and website access).
Fixed bugs:
The option "Undo trick" might have frozen the software at the end of a game or might have generated a wrong score.
The display of the Game window might have frozen the software after the loading of a saved game.
When saving a game of a Guard Without or Against, the software might be frozen after a loading of this game.
The card sound could strongly slow down the card play.
Various minor corrections.
Thinking engine v3.2.1:
Major improvement in the defenders play, especially for saving points.
The Taker tactic playing a trump to make it believe he is starting the hunt of the "Petit" (Ace of Trump) risks now to end very badly for him
A defender will not always play the "Petit" at the start of a hunt by the Taker with a high Trump not surely master.
Before the Taker, a King in danger will be more often played at the first try in this color.
At the Taker's opening in a color, the honnors will be more often played by the defenders.
Better play of the Queen in a color where the King has not been played yet.
Various minor enhancements.
